I truly hate to leave a critical review, but I felt it was important to provide honest feedback somewhere. I took the 4-session Intro to Woodworking class with Matt Baxter in Jan-Feb hoping to learn woodworking basics as advertised, but it was really more of a straightforward tutorial on how to build a specific small end table/night stand. The course title and description I purchased was simply not what was delivered. Though I learned some, I had to ask far too many questions to try to learn anything in-depth and walked away disappointed. I would’ve loved to learn more general knowledge as was advertised - types of tools and uses, wood types, different joinery methods, finishing basics. A broad introduction to the craft is what the description led me to expect, with the end table as a fun bonus. But we really only learned how to make this very specific table in a very specific way. (Also… the table is super wobbly and unusable in its current state. I was basically told there’s not much that can be done to fix it. I would’ve appreciated troubleshooting or even just discussing what went wrong/how to avoid that in the future). I feel it was a lot of $ to shell out ($400) for what I gained, unfortunately. Like most people I don’t just have that kinda cash laying around. I can’t say I’d ever knowingly spend that much on a class solely for building a small table. Kicking myself for not putting that cash toward tools for my new hobby and just taking an online course. :(

Bought some nice hard woods. Personnel seem a bit uptight when I asked questions. This has been the 3rd time I visit and I continue to notice this behavior. The very first visit I did a very kind gentleman walked me around helping me to find woods and hardware answering my questions. I have no clue what happened to him.

This place is awesome. This is the closest wood working shop to northwest Arkansas. They seem to have a little of everything for hobbyist and professionals alike. Nice tools like Festool available. Lots of small hand chisels and turning tools. The lumber selection was amazing. Lots of exotics like buying a, laurel, etc. Definitely recommend a visit!

This place makes me feel like a kid in a candy store! Not only that, but every time I walk through the door, I am greeted with a welcoming hello and a smile. The staff are all very knowledgeable and extremely friendly...even Matt. 😂 Seriously, though, Woodcraft of Tulsa is awesome!

Made my first foray into Woodcraft today in search of a new bandsaw blade. I've just recently gotten into woodworking and needed a new blade. My research pointed me to Timberwolf brand blades, and Woodcraft is the local supplier. People are out of the world friendly. Store is stuffed with almost everything a woodworker would need and they have classes and an actual shop area. In back is a well stocked lumber area with all kinds of 'usual' and exotic wood. If woodworking is your thing, and you haven't been to Woodcraft, you need to go.
