UPDATE: The company did ultimately reach out, came back to the house, and properly repaired the screen panel. I appreciate them following through and getting the issue resolved. We did have some frustration getting to that point. Shortly after our new pool cage was installed, the door mechanism broke and one of the roof screen panels began coming undone. They initially came out and fixed the door, but the screen issue returned. I then had difficulty getting a response after multiple follow-ups, which is what prompted my original review. After posting the review, they did come back out and take care of the screen, and everything is now fixed. I believe reviews should reflect the entire experience, so I wanted to update mine accordingly and give them credit for ultimately standing behind their work and resolving the problem. I would have preferred better communication and for the screen to have been properly addressed the first time, but I appreciate that they came back and made it right.
I wanted to share a review regarding my recent experience with your company. I initially met with Alex to discuss revamping my lanai and, although I had received several other quotes, his knowledge and kindness made me feel comfortable enough to pay the deposit and sign the contract. After signing, I looked at online reviews in more detail and became concerned. However, I spoke with Alex and another representative _possibly the owner) who reassured me and provided the requested license and insurance information. While we originally scheduled the project for a few weeks out, Alex was able to move my appointment up, which I greatly appreciated. During the revamp, the crew power washed, sanded, replaced all the screws, painted the structure from white to black, and rescreened the entire lanai. Although there was a slight language barrier with the crew, they were very helpful and addressed any touch-ups I pointed out immediately. Overall, I had a great experience. Alex even followed up with me on the final day to ensure everything was going well. My neighbors are already asking about the work, and I will be happy to share Alex’s contact information with them. People always share negative reviews but seldom give good ones. Give this company a chance!
The team of two people re-screened our entire pool cage including bolts where needed, door hardware and corner cables. They completed the job in about 6 hours. The job site was staged to protect the pool water and deck. Clean up was impressive. We are very pleased and give the highest recommendation.
This company convinced us that in order to complete a proper redo of our pool cage, that the flat roof that the cage was adjacent and attached to, needed to be replaced. They convinced me that they were “experts” at this service too. Shortly after completing our job, the roof began leaking terribly. Modern pool cage came back out several times, attempting to fix the leaking flat roof. After 6 months of continuous leaking, we decided to call a “roofing company”. The roofer said that the roof was installed with no drip edge, or slant to drain the roof. This roofing company fixed our roof, and charged us $2220. I contacted Modern Pool Cage and asked them to reimburse is for this repair. After 2 weeks of texts, they completely stopped returning my texts and calls. Beware this company does not stand behind their inferior work.
Run the other direction. If I could, would give no stars. Scammers. Why use a company if they always cancel after receiving a deposit. They do not hold up their part of the bargain. The listed contractor on the business licensing site has NO LICENSE as a contractor. Put down deposit then was told not able to work with the current gutters. An appointment to reevaluate the gutters was made. They canceled 3 times. When they cancel, it's always the day they are to come. A request for a full refund of the deposit has been requested to Daniel several times since they are unable to do the work and keep canceling the reevaluation. Spoke with Daniel. DANIEL STATED "we can return a partial deposit" (which is less than half). Not acceptable since they are the ones without following through. When asked to speak to a supervisor or for owners name DANIEL STATED "I cannot disclose supervisors name or company owners name, I can forward the information". Daniel will yell and hands up the phone (not proper customer service, ettique) This company is also affiliated with another company name that does the same work. BEWARE
