I became a patient of Dr. Salgado when I sought to correct an excess of pelvic tissue that was likely congenital and unrelated to weight. The consultation process was straight-forward. Salgado immediately recognized the issue and offered a procedure to achieve my desired result. Dr. Salgado's unique value and "selling point" is his long tenure as both a practicing surgeon and lauded academic within the world of plastic and reconstructive procedures. A few minutes before my surgery, Salgado again met with me and outlined (literally with a sharpie) his approach on my anatomy. He demonstrated his knowledge and creativity by suggesting a small modification that I had not contemplated, but that would improve the cosmetic result. My recovery is ongoing, but Salgado's office offers excellent responsiveness and "bedside manner". I've been fortunate to have no complications to date (knock wood) and am thrilled with my result! Shout out to Salgado's office staff and especially Lauren for being extremely available and effective at coordinating pre-op logistics. Dr. Salgado is also a super personable and funny guy! I cannot grow another pubic region, but if I ever did, I'd be more than happy to work with Salgado's practice again! Disclaimer: This endorsement is unsolicited and unpaid. This is the most unprofessional dr office I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Purposely avoiding my son's calls when he was trying to find out the insurance approval status. Yet, when i called 10 seconds later from my phobe number, they immediately answered. They had the insurance approval letter in hand and was still trying to get us to pay $9000 upfront "in case" the insurance didn't pay. When I asked them why, she answered, "listen sweetheart, this is how we do it". I was apoplectic! Thank god I wasn't there in person! I would've left in silver bracelets. Our case manager from our insurance said she got 'mansplained' as to how insurance works from the receptionist. She was so pissed! She also stated that money was not necessary as they had what they needed from the insurance company. We decided to go elsewhere as it wouldn't be safe for me to actually go to the office in person. We are very happy with the new dr. Maybe she did us a favor after reading all the bad reviews but I am baffled as to why a dr would allow such a person to represent his office.

Receptionist is so incredibly unprofessional & condescending it's hilarious. Literally drove me away from how rude she is, but they did me a huge favor because I found the office I'm going with, John Whitehead, who's staff are INFINITELY more professional in both attitude and wait times. If you're looking to wait weeks with no response, be treated as an inconvenience and have your phone calls purposely dodged when you seek any updates, and even impress your insurance with how rude the receptionist is, then definitely come here. If you want to be treated with respect and responded to in a timely manner, you should probably look elsewhere. Mansplaining insurance to someone who has worked with insurance for over a decade isn't a good look. Also, apparently Salgado is infamously known in the LGBTQ community for botching surgeries. The rude receptionist actually saved my skin by dissuading me from coming here!

My experience with this hospital was beyond frustrating, disorganized, and completely unprofessional. I paid a $2,500 deposit toward a $5,000 procedure, but due to a family emergency, I requested a refund. At first, the front desk assured me I would receive a full refund. Shortly after, I was told $500 would be withheld due to a “cancellation policy.” This made absolutely no sense—my procedure was never fully paid for, and therefore never officially scheduled. Their own policy states a $1,500 cancellation fee applies when a surgery is canceled, yet my surgery was never confirmed in the first place. The situation only got worse. Instead of refunding my payment the same way it was made, they mailed two separate paper checks totaling only $2,000, leaving $500 unaccounted for. I had to involve my bank and file a dispute for the remaining balance, which took over a week to resolve—causing unnecessary stress and financial inconvenience. The front desk associate was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the entire process. She even called me upset about the dispute and demanded I return $1,000. I agreed to repay it in two $500 installments, which she initially accepted. Shockingly, the very next day, I was contacted again and told that arrangement was no longer acceptable. I was then threatened with theft charges and given only 24 hours to repay the full amount—despite their own errors and inconsistencies in handling my refund. This entire experience felt misleading and manipulative. Policies were applied inconsistently and seemed to change depending on the situation. The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic professionalism is unacceptable. What should have been a straightforward refund turned into a stressful, drawn-out ordeal. I would strongly caution others before doing business here.

Guys, I just wanna say I have had so many surgeries here in Miami. And this has been by far the best doctor I could recommend anyone who wants to undergo a vagina plasty or a mons lift . Dr. Salgado and Dr. Gustavo have been nothing but amazing and have brought back the confidence that I once lost after having three kids. I’m only three weeks postop and they could only wait till I fully recover. Also, Lauren, that is the staff she is amazing and has always helped me out ❤️
