I hired Do-Well Remodel to build us a bannister for our living room/entry way and from the start Megan and Will were very friendly and prompt getting back to me with an estimate and a date for install. Much faster than all the other companies I reached out to. We are very happy to have a safe entry way now for our 1.5 year old. They even went out of there and helped me install a baby gate so it could be ready for when my son got home from daycare. Would hire again, thank you!!

Dowell Remodel is excellent. Great communication. Megan is very skilled at explaining and problem solving. We used them to replace porch steps on our rental property. They look great and are up to code. Highly recommend them! Support women-owned businesses!

Contacting Do-Well Remodel was one of the best decisions I've made. It was a smooth process right from the start. Megan is the best coordinator! She was able to go off just photos and measurements to provide a fair and affordable quote for getting my basement finished. There was no wasted time of people coming out to inspect just to give you an outrageous price. The quote Megan provided from the start was my final price. Will and the team were great to work with! They were all super nice and respectful of my space. My basement is an abnormal shape and there were lots of pipes and beams to work around. Will was super accommodating to work around everything and created a finished space that covered every unsightly item. Megan and Will were also great with answering all my questions along the way. The team ended up doing more than I asked for and the finished product turned out way better than I imagined. They turned my dark concrete dungeon of a basement into a bright and cozy space. They also did so in the exact time frame provided. I'm extremely grateful to Do-Well Remodel for giving me the basement I've been wanting for years. I can't recommend them enough!

Will claims to be a general contractor. He is not. He doesn’t contact subcontractors (literally the first part of the definition of the job), he waits until they’re needed and gives you names to contact, causing long delays. He can’t read a blueprint, causing the cabinets to be an inch to the right, resulting in a drawer not being able to open. Cabinets were installed on top of cardboard shims that were screwed down, creating a potential health hazard if they get wet. He installed one cabinet upside down and two wall panels backward. Cabinets were left unfinished, toe kicks and drawers not installed. He cut a hole for the range hood eight inches to the right of where it should be. Cabinets weren’t level for the countertop to go in. He further refused to contact the cabinet pointman to make sure things were done correctly or errors were fixed properly, despite assuring us he would when we provided contact information. There’s no attention to detail, using white screws on brown light switch plates and hooking up the light switches to the wrong lights. They also removed the dimmer switches and replaced them with cheap standard switches, which we had made clear we didn’t want. And they had no interest in a finished look. Widening a doorway resulted in demo to part of the wall and multiple holes cut in it, but not patching the holes or even ensuring edges weren’t jagged. Floor was cut uneven and one panel wasn’t even fully glued down. Multiple things we had discussed at the start were left out of the contact with just a verbal confirmation, and in one case confirmation via text message, that it would be completed, specifically so they could refuse to do them if we complained about their shoddy work. They use the excuse “it wasn’t in the contract” when we thought it was common sense we would want a completed look, not something that looked like a child built it. And this wasn’t a question of payment, we never objected to additional costs, that’s part of a remodel. Client satisfaction wasn’t a concern throughout the entire project. We are extremely unhappy with their end result. And despite debris removal being in the contract, we were rudely told it’s our problem. Will’s reasoning was he only has to dispose of trash, not recycling. The contract lists debris. I would classify the pieces of drywall they cut from our wall as debris. Will saw it differently. Ultimately we had to bring in a new contractor to tear everything out and start over. Ammerman construction saved our kitchen. We recommend you use them instead if you don’t know who to use to avoid Do-not-so-well.

The Do-Well team was wonderful to work with, right from the very beginning. They took some drawings that I put together for our fireplace remodel and brought it to life! They made sure we were involved through every step and encouraged us to collaborate with them on every dimension of the buildout, ensuring that we were 100% satisfied with the end result.
